When purchasing a new grill, you should consider the number of burners. While this should not be the only factor in your decision, it does ensure that the grill is a good fit for your needs. Three and four-burner grills are suitable for medium to big gatherings, but which one should you buy?
More burners almost always provide you with more cooking space. A four-burner grill often has greater room than a three-burner barbeque. So, the true question you should be asking is how many individuals you intend to serve.
A three-burner barbeque would be ideal for medium-sized gatherings. If you’re planning an outdoor picnic with friends and family, three burners will suffice to grill those burgers, steaks, and side dishes.
The popular barbeque 4-burners on the other hand are designed to feed a larger group. They’re great for hosting larger BBQ parties with more attendees. Even if you aren’t, it’s an excellent alternative if you just want more area on the grill for food. With the extra cooking space provided by a 4-burner grill, you can cook more comfortably without worrying about running out of foods to serve.

However, if you’re looking for something to feed a large audience or for commercial use, there are 5-burner and even 6-burner grills available too. So, if you’re grilling multiple types of food at the same time, a barbeque 4-burners grill will give you more flexibility than the 3-burner counterpart. Still, it all boils down to what you require. If you don’t care about precise temperatures and don’t require a lot of versatility, a 3-burner grill will suffice.
