Vibrating screen is a large device that is capable to separate liquid and solid materials. It is used in chemical, construction, mining, coal, metallurgy and many other industries. By separating various materials to specific levels of granularity, the vibrating screen prepares the materials for further operation and improves the overall productivity. This versatile tool has become the most common screening equipment which delivers powerful performance.
Beside its simple working principle, the vibrating screen has a simple structure. It is consisted of one or more screen surfaces which are made from rugged materials, an eccentric bock, a motor, a coupler, and rigid frame. To separate materials, this machine is designed with powerful screen box, and some vibrating screens use two screen boxes to get a job done in a more efficient way. Highly efficient and easily adjustable to any operation, the vibrating screen requires less fuel for effective operation.
The screen box (or boxes) rotates quickly, relying on the vibration motor. The screening process is linear and the materials enter the screen box from the feeding port. For proper operation, the vibrating screen creates eccentric shaft vibration and use an eccentric block. Driven through belts, this vibration unit needs to be positioned on a high-quality sideboard of the screen box. The vibrating screen use a centrifugal force to make screen box vibrations.
With high-performance vibration motor, the vibrating screen is capable to create excitation force. The operation of the vibrating screen starts when the materials enter the screen box from the feeding port at the top. The materials pass through several stages of screening. For safe and more convenient operation, the vibrating screen is equipped with absorber system which is made from rubber or other absorbing materials.
The vibrating screen separates materials by eccentric arm movements. When the arm goes down, the materials fall down to the screen surface. The materials that have the desired characteristics, can proceed to the next screening stage, while the unwanted materials are discharged immediately. This working principle is a very efficient screening method which provides satisfactory results.
