Everyday Strength You Can Rely On

source: keblestrading.com.au

Stainless steel has become one of the most trusted materials across industries, from construction and architecture to marine engineering and household design. Its reputation rests on a unique combination of durability, corrosion resistance, and sleek appearance.

Unlike ordinary steel, stainless steel contains chromium, which forms a protective layer that prevents rust and oxidation. This makes it ideal for environments exposed to moisture, chemicals, or fluctuating temperatures. Whether it’s a handrail in a public building or a wire rope supporting heavy loads, stainless steel suppliers offer strength and reliability that endure daily wear without compromising safety or style.

Behind the Shine: What Stainless Steel Offers

The versatility of stainless steel lies in its ability to adapt to different applications. It is available in multiple grades, each designed for specific performance needs. For example, austenitic stainless steels are prized for their corrosion resistance and toughness, while duplex grades combine strength with resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

This adaptability explains why stainless steel is used in everything from architectural facades to food processing equipment. When people look for reliable stainless steel suppliers, they are seeking access to these varied options, ensuring the right grade is matched to the right project.

Picking the Perfect Match for Your Project

Choosing steel suppliers is not just about selecting a grade; it’s about aligning the material with the environment and purpose. Corrosive coastal areas demand higher resistance alloys, while indoor dry environments may only require standard grades.

Finish also matters: polished surfaces enhance aesthetics and reduce maintenance, while brushed finishes provide a modern look with reduced glare. Strength, cost, and sustainability should all be weighed before making a decision. That’s why purchasing from trusted stainless steel suppliers will serve you well, as they provide not only the material but also guidance on matching specifications to real-world conditions.

Built to Last: Quality in the Details

The defining feature of stainless steel is its longevity. Chromium content above 10.5% ensures a passive film forms on the surface, protecting against corrosion. Nickel, molybdenum, and other alloying elements further enhance resistance to acids, chlorides, and extreme temperatures. This makes stainless steel particularly valuable in construction, where structural integrity must be maintained for decades.

Iconic buildings such as the Chrysler Building in New York and modern Australian infrastructure projects showcases stainless steel’s ability to combine strength with visual appeal. Its recyclability also adds to its sustainability credentials, reducing environmental impact while maintaining performance.

Stainless Steel in Action

From stainless steel bridges, balustrades and marine rigging, to kitchen fittings like stainless steel sinks and taps and marine rigging, this material is everywhere. In architecture, it provides both structural support and decorative finishes, offering designers flexibility without sacrificing durability. In industrial settings, stainless steel wire ropes and fittings ensure safety under heavy loads, while in residential spaces, it delivers sleek, low‑maintenance solutions for everyday use.

The material’s resistance to staining and ease of cleaning make it particularly valuable in hygiene-sensitive environments such as hospitals and food production facilities. Its adaptability across sectors explains why demand continues to grow in Australia and globally.

Sustainability and Future Value

Beyond immediate performance, stainless steel offers long-term environmental benefits. Its recyclability rate is close to 100%, meaning old components can be re-melted and reused without losing quality. This closed-loop cycle reduces demand for raw materials and lowers carbon emissions compared to less durable alternatives.

In Australia, stainless steel is increasingly chosen for infrastructure projects not only for its strength but also for its contribution to sustainable building practices. For buyers, this means every purchase supports both durability and environmental responsibility, reinforcing stainless steel’s role as a forward-thinking material for modern projects.

Tips Before You Buy

source: keblestrading.com.au

Selecting industrial stainless steel requires careful consideration of several factors:

First, clarify the environment of use: indoor, outdoor, marine, or industrial.

Second, evaluate the required strength and load capacity, especially for applications involving rigging or structural support.

Third, consider aesthetics; different finishes can dramatically alter the look and feel of a project.

Finally, balance cost with performance; while higher-grade alloys may be more expensive, they often reduce long-term maintenance costs.

Check certifications and standards, as these guarantee the material meets safety and durability requirements. By taking into account practical tips with an understanding of available options, buyers can make informed decisions that ensure both reliability and value.

Lasting Value, Everyday Confidence

Stainless steel supplies continue to stand out as a material that blends practicality with design. As a material with corrosion resistance, strength, and recyclability, it’s a cornerstone of modern construction and manufacturing. For buyers, the key lies in choosing wisely; matching grade, finish, and application to the specific demands of a project.

With the right approach, stainless steel delivers not only immediate functionality but also long-term confidence. It is this exact combination of everyday reliability and enduring value that makes stainless steel a smart investment for projects of all sizes.

Modern-day graffiti often faces the stigma of being labeled as vandalism, but those who take a closer look can recognize its artistic significance in transforming urban spaces. Beginning as simple name tagging in the 1950s, graffiti evolved into a recognized art form, especially during the 1980s and 1990s. Today, it has become a medium for storytelling, cultural expression, and social commentary, often through vibrant murals that enliven cityscapes.

Creating these masterpieces requires more than imagination. Artists rely heavily on the right tools—protective gear and spray cans—to bring their visions to life. Among these tools, spray nozzles play a pivotal role. The cap not only influences the spray’s effect but also determines the level of precision, coverage, and artistic expression. Here’s a detailed look into the types of spray can caps and their applications, including Montana’s extensive cap range, which has become a favorite among graffiti artists worldwide.

Types of Spray Can Caps

Super Skinny Caps

source: pinterest.com

Super skinny caps are perfect for creating the finest lines, making them ideal for intricate designs and detailed work. While they’re most suited for smaller projects, they can also be used in larger murals for tiny, complex fill-ins. Artists often rely on super skinny caps for precision work, where every detail counts.

Skinny Caps

Skinny caps are among the most commonly used caps in graffiti. Known for their versatility, they cater to both beginners and seasoned artists. Whether you’re outlining a design, adding details, or working on medium-sized areas, skinny caps are a go-to choice. Their ease of use makes them a staple in any artist’s toolkit.

Medium Caps

Medium caps strike a balance between skinny and fat caps, offering the ability to create both thin and medium lines. The outcome depends largely on how far the can is held from the surface. Some medium caps, like soft medium caps, can produce dusty lines, which are perfect for creating gradients or softer details.

Fat Caps

Fat caps are another popular option, particularly for filling large areas quickly. They can produce flares and bold lines, making them essential for creating backgrounds or bold visual elements. Skilled artists can even manipulate fat caps to produce thinner lines, though this requires practice and control.

Super Fat Caps

Super fat caps are designed for maximum coverage, allowing artists to fill large areas with thick, bold lines. While they’re easy to control, their heavy output can quickly drain a spray can. As a result, these caps are best reserved for large-scale projects or when time is of the essence.

Special Caps

Specialty caps offer unique effects tailored for specific applications. For instance:

Calligraphy Caps: Create dynamic, textural lines that mimic traditional calligraphy.

Stencil Caps: Deliver the skinniest lines possible, ideal for fine stenciling work.

Transfer Caps: Allow artists to transfer paint from one can to another.

Needle Caps: Produce highly concentrated lines with a misty, dusty effect around the edges.

Each of these caps enables artists to push creative boundaries and experiment with different styles and techniques.

Montana Cap Range

Montana, a leading brand in the graffiti and spray paint world, offers a wide variety of caps tailored to artists’ needs. Their range is categorized by levels, each designed for a specific type of application.

Level 1 Cap

The Level 1 cap is Montana’s thinnest, with a spray width ranging from 0.4 cm to 1.5 cm. This cap is perfect for creating clean, detailed lines, making it a favorite for intricate designs and fine outlines.

Level 2 Cap

Slightly wider than Level 1, the Level 2 cap has a spray width of 0.6 cm to 2.5 cm. This cap is versatile enough to be used on various surfaces, including unconventional ones like mugs or jars, while still delivering sharp details.

Level 3 Cap

The Level 3 cap transitions from fine details to softer edges, with a spray width between 1 cm and 4 cm. This makes it a great option for blending colors, creating soft gradients, or adding mid-sized elements to murals.

Level 4 Cap

The Level 4 cap is ideal for creating soft, fat lines with widths ranging from 3 cm to 10 cm. It’s commonly used for filling medium to large areas or for crafting bold, eye-catching elements in larger compositions.

Level 5 Cap

With a spray width of 4 cm to 15 cm, the Level 5 cap is a powerful tool for large-scale murals. It provides quick coverage for large areas while maintaining a clean finish, making it an efficient choice for professional graffiti artists.

Level 6 Cap

The Level 6 cap offers the widest spray width in Montana’s range, from 5 cm to 25 cm. This cap is specifically designed for covering massive areas or objects, making it indispensable for large murals and projects requiring extensive color fills.

Standard Cap

The standard Montana cap produces a consistent spray width of 1.2 cm, delivering an “old-school” look reminiscent of graffiti’s early days.

Needle Cap

source: pinterest.com

Needle caps are Montana’s version of ultra-fine line caps, offering a spray width between 0.4 cm and 1.2 cm. These caps are perfect for precision work, enabling artists to add intricate details with control and finesse.

NY Fat Cap

A legendary cap in the graffiti world, the NY fat cap has been a favorite since the 1970s. It delivers a clean-edged, fat line, making it a timeless tool for artists who want bold, impactful strokes.

Ultra Liner Cap

The ultra liner cap is designed for extremely large-scale projects. With a spray height of 3 m to 4 m and a width of 10 cm, it’s the ultimate choice for covering vast surfaces efficiently.

Choosing the Right Cap

Selecting the right spray can cap depends on the artist’s style, the scale of the project, the desired effect as well as the maintenance of the can. Beginners often start with versatile options like skinny caps, while professionals may carry an arsenal of caps to adapt to any situation. Montana’s extensive cap range provides something for everyone, ensuring that each artist can find a tool suited to their needs.

Spray can caps are more than just accessories—they’re an integral part of the graffiti process. They allow artists to manipulate paint with precision, transform ideas into reality, and elevate graffiti into a celebrated art form. Whether you’re creating intricate designs, bold murals, or experimental effects, the right cap can make all the difference.

So, the next time you pass by a striking mural, take a moment to appreciate not only the imagination behind it but also the tools that helped bring it to life.

Businesses that sell and distribute products are often part of a hectic environment with numerous moving parts and a high demand for efficiency and accuracy. With so many moving parts, there is plenty of room for error and delays which can greatly impact the bottom line. You can easily decrease the likelihood of human error and increase efficiency by implementing modern technological solutions.

One such move would be optimising your POS system by adding accurate and efficient barcode readers. These devices are used to scan and read barcodes on items, and other data storage labels, making the inventory management process easier and more accurate.

Which Type of Barcode Scanner Is Best?

source: maximcomputer.co.uk

There are a variety of barcode scanners available on the market. The best type for your business will depend on several factors such as your industry, budget, and specific needs. If you have all of your requirements sorted out, you’ll be able to narrow down your choice.

Corded vs Cordless

The main difference between corded and cordless barcode readers is the presence of a physical cable. Corded models require a direct connection to a computer or POS terminal while cordless options use wireless technology, such as Bluetooth, to transmit data. They both have the same capabilities, but cordless versions offer more flexibility and mobility.

For instance, if you have a retail store with several checkout stations, cordless barcode scanners can easily move between them without the hassle of tangled cords. This also makes it easier to scan items that are too large or heavy to bring to a stationary setup, which can hinder productivity.

Handheld vs Wearable

Another factor to consider is whether you need a handheld or wearable barcode scanner. Handheld models are the most common and allow for easy scanning of items by holding the device in your hand. On the other hand, wearable options can be attached to a finger or wrist, freeing up both hands for tasks such as picking and packing.

Handheld models may be more suitable for industries where heavy lifting is not required, while wearable ones may be better for warehouse operations. You get the benefit of being able to scan without having to hold a device, which can minimise muscle strain and increase efficiency.

1D vs 2D vs QR Code

The exact technology used in a barcode reader determines the type of codes it can scan. The most common types are 1D and 2D barcodes, with QR codes being a popular subcategory of 2D codes.

1D barcodes consist of vertical lines and spaces that represent numbers or letters, while 2D barcodes use patterns and shapes to store information. The former is generally used for simple inventory tracking, while the latter can store more data such as product descriptions, prices and images.

QR codes have gained popularity due to their ability to be scanned by smartphones, which is why they’re making such an impact in marketing campaigns. They can hold more information than traditional barcodes, and can also link directly to websites for easy access.

RFID Readers and Writers

Next up, we have RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) readers and writers. These devices use radio waves to read and write data on tags or labels attached to objects. They can be used for inventory management, tracking products through the supply chain, and even in contactless payment systems.

One of the main advantages of using RFID technology is its ability to read multiple tags at once, making it much faster than barcode scanning. It also eliminates the need for line-of-sight scanning, which means you can retrieve information from tagged items without having to physically see them.

However, RFID technology can be more expensive compared to barcode readers and may not be suitable for all industries. Its use is also limited to certain materials, as some materials can interfere with the radio waves and affect the accuracy of the data.

Smartphone and IPod Compatible Devices

In a highly digitalised world, it’s no surprise that barcode readers have evolved to be compatible with smartphones and iPods. These devices can now use the built-in camera to scan barcodes, making it easier for consumers to access product information and make purchases on the go.

Additionally, some retailers have also started using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, which allows smartphones and other devices to communicate with a barcode or RFID tag by simply being in close proximity. This has opened up new opportunities for mobile marketing and contactless payments.

Advantages of Using Barcode Scanners

These devices hold many advantages for businesses regardless of their size or industry. They’re affordable, easy to use and can be integrated with existing systems. They also provide real-time data, making it easier for businesses to track their inventory levels and monitor sales.

Barcode scanners are also more accurate compared to manual data entry, reducing the chances of human error. This not only saves time but can also prevent costly mistakes. Gone are the days of manually counting and recording inventory, which can be tedious and prone to errors.

Furthermore, these devices allow for faster checkout processes, reducing waiting times for customers and increasing overall efficiency. This is especially important in industries such as retail and healthcare, where time can be a crucial factor. You no longer have to manually enter product information or search through a database – simply scan the barcode and all the necessary data is retrieved instantly.

One of the greatest benefits offered by laptops is portability; they allow us to get your job done anywhere, anytime. However, carrying your laptop from place to place means exposing it to different kinds of dangers. This is why you should consider getting a laptop cover to protect your computer from damage.

The three common types of laptop covers include the bag, the sleeve, and the hard case. Each type is available in different style and features to suit different tastes and needs. In order to find the best laptop cover for you, consider how you will be using it. For example, if you tend to carry many other things along with your laptop, you should look for a cover that comes with extra pockets and storage space. Or, if you do a lot of walking with your laptop, you will want to consider a lightweight cover. Understanding the different types of laptop covers can help you find out which one fits your lifestyle better.

Sleeve

This type of laptop cover fits tight and usually has a layer of padding on the inside to protect the device. It is lightweight and perfect for those who take their laptops everywhere they go. Available in a range of fabrics and materials such as canvas, neoprene, nylon, leather and microfiber, the most common choice is neoprene sleeve cases, as they are inexpensive, lightweight, and can also be waterproof.

Hard Covers

These covers feature a hard outer shell and are often padded on the inside. They offer superior protection and look similar to briefcases. When purchasing a hard case, it is important to get the correct size to ensure it fits your laptop – getting a case that is too big or too small won’t protect your laptop properly. If you work in areas where your laptop could get easily damaged, then a hard laptop cover may be the best option for you. But if you frequently travel from place to place, this case may not be ideal for you as it is heavier than the other cases.

Bags

These covers are designed to be carried and feature a handle and a strap. They come in different types, including:

Backpacks – offer a simple storage room and come with various pockets and compartments for accessories and other gear.

Messenger bag – a bag designed to be carried across the body. It also offers pockets for accessories and is available in a variety of materials and colours.

Rolling bag – in addition to offering various compartments for storage and a padded area for laptop, this type of bag also come with wheels and handle for rolling.

The type of mining equipment used for a certain task depends on the type of the work that’s being carried out, whether above or below ground or mining for gold, metals, coal or crude oil. Here are the most commonly used tools for mining and the way in which they’re used.

Mining Drill

This is one of the most commonly used mining instruments. It is used for drilling underground for finding minerals which can be quite deep under the surface. They are also used to create pathways for miners underground, resembling a hallway or portal to the minerals. These drills can also be used for making tunnels in mountains and wells.

Blasting Tools

Similar to mining drills, they are also used to clear away unwanted rocks and cave walls, but the difference is that with blasting tools, it’s done manually. It’s important to mention that blasting tools, more than any other mining equipment, create a hazardous environment and are to be used by trained professionals with great care. After blasting, an excavator can be utilised to clear away any left over debris.

Earth Movers

Earth movers are primarily used for above ground, surface related mining work. Their main purpose is to carry soil from one destination (where you plan on digging) to another. They require a professional specialist for operation since they include a lot of functions like digging, pushing the ground around and transporting it. They also help sort debris and create a more organised work space.

Rock Pick

This is a hand held tool, which features a strong, pointy chisel and a grip (usually made out of rubber that reduces the stress put on the hands by the squeezing). It is used to manually split small to medium sized rocks, usually for the purpose of extracting a sample of the rock, which can later be used to gather information on how to easily break through the particular type of rock.

Big Paint Brush

A miner should always carry a paint brush with them and use it to remove the dust from rocks and expose the minerals. An example why this is important is the case of Don Swenson – a field collector who discovered a rare mineral by simply cleaning up the rock it was in. The rock’s previous owner had overlooked the mineral, simply because there was dirt on it.

Hammer and Pry-Bar

These mining instruments are used for extracting minerals by hand, since for this task a rock pick simply won’t do. The hammer should be paired with a strong pry, the form of which looks like a hole, with one side having a flat end and the other a pointy one. For usage, the pointy end of the ply-bar is placed near the mineral and then the user must hit the flat surface of the ply-bar with the hammer.

People who have already experienced the joys in the world of fishing will undoubtedly confirm that fishing is one of the best therapy methods ever. It is both fun and beneficial for your mental health as it has a huge calming effect. Nevertheless, beginners may not be amazed at first from their first fishing experience and might feel lost, as to be honest, fishing takes some preparation beforehand and of course, quality equipment. The truth is, this sport requires much patience, free time and you certainly need to have some basic knowledge in the matter before delving into the exciting world of fishing.

Feeling anxious and intimidated? That’s totally fine, you’re a newbie. But hey, do not give up just yet! There are a lot of sources you can find online, including a wide array of fishing videos, blog posts, books, etc., from which you could learn something. For that reason, in this blog post I have compiled a list of a few useful fishing tips for beginners which will help you get the most out of your fishing trips. Brace yourself, time to learn the basics.

Rod and reel

As a beginner, consider getting yourself a spinning reel as it is most suitable for rookies. What’s also important to know, is that the choice of the rod and reel will be determined by the type of fish you plan to fish for. For this reason, it is a good idea to consult with the salesmen at the tackle shop about what type of rod and real are right for the fish you are targeting.

Fishing line

There are a few different types available including braid, co-polymer, monofilament and fluorocarbon. Each of them comes with certain advantages and disadvantages, so when looking for the right line ask the salesperson for advice.

Terminal tackle

In this range are included bobbers, hooks, and weights. The vast array of fishing tackle on the market may confuse you when it comes to making the right selection. Nevertheless, buy a small fishing box that comes with all fishing essentials so that you have everything you need in one place. Online videos are another great source that offers useful tips on how to rig up your tackle quickly.

Bait

For beginners, live bait is considered the easiest to use because fish are more likely to bite it. With just a few videos you will be able to learn how to correctly set the hook. Some of the most common types of live bites are minnows, worms, night crawlers and leeches.

Practice

You will need a lot of practice in fishing before you can actually enjoy it and reap the benefits of the whole experience. Especially practice casting. For starters, you can practice at home. Your backyard can be a perfect place to learn how to cast the right way. You can use a few pieces of paper and try to cast them. Again, online fishing videos are a great source from which you can learn different techniques. Find good ones that you understand and watch them on repeat until you fully comprehend the technique.

Fishing is a great way to spend some quality time outdoors with your family and friends. Moreover, it is not even an expensive sport. There is a wide range of fishing shops that offer affordable price for their products. So, once you learn all the basics, you can go out there and try to catch some fish. Hope that the above mentioned fishing tips for beginners will help you to learn the basics and have a blast on your first fishing trip. Good luck!

Mother’s Day is only days away. Do you have a gift for your mum already? Or maybe you are like most of us who are still struggling and cannot decide what to buy a woman that has given you the most of care, love and attention. Sure, she knows how much you love her and appreciate everything she has done for you, still you must treat your mum with something extra special.

But why stick with the boring classics, such as a perfume, handbag, facial cream and similar. This year get her something different; something simple yet useful. How about sportswear? Whether you are a professional athlete, have a child that plays in a team, or just occasionally train for recreation, you can always find a way to save some money on sports equipment. Here are few suggestions.

Online Sports Shops

The sports equipment online offer is wide, and not only in terms of choice, but in terms of price as well. Many retailers offer frequent sale deals, usually on older styles and you can find certain sports gear at even 75% off of the original price. Now that’s a bargain, right!

Second-Hand Equipment

Search for sports equipment online retailers that offer used equipment. This is a perfect way to have sports equipment and yet not go broke. Gear that can be found in second-hand stores is generally used very little and it’s not damaged.

Custom Made Uniforms

If you have a child that plays in a team, you can team up with other parents and make uniforms for the kids. All you need are just some simple t-shirts and an iron to put the numbers on. And if you are a recreational athlete, find some old clothes you don’t wear anymore and adjust them so they serve your training needs. This can be easily done with t-shirts, as you can shorten them, or cut the sleeves.

Sell Your Gear and Equipment

Remember the second-hand shops we mentioned before? Well, you can also sell your used equipment there and earn some cash for it! If you no longer train, or want some new equipment, list it for sale on sports equipment online shops that offer such service. Why throw old sports gear, when somebody else can find use of it.

Buy in Bulk

This is a good way to buy at lower prices. Companies offer large discounts for bulk purchases. Team up with other athletes, friends or parents, if you have children playing in a team. You all have the same needs, so why not buy in bulk at once and save some money?

End of Season Deals

At the end of each season, prices fall dramatically. You can find sportswear and related sports equipment at half the price. Therefore, buy at the end of summer or winter season. Of course, shop for sports equipment only if you are serious about exercising. Do not waste money if you plan to quit soon. In that case, rent whatever you need.

The feed hopper is a machine used for receiving, storing and conveying different types of materials. In general, there are two types of feed hoppers: dry and wet feed hoppers. Depending on the material that is used, the feed hopper can be either dry or wet. The dry feed hopper is commonly used, because the manufacturing process creates dry products with high level of clods and dirt. The storage and conveying capacity of the feed hoppers varies from 1 up to 20 tonnes per hour.

The feed hopper is designed to load and unload bulk materials from a dump truck directly. It uses a slow out-feed belt to create forward movements towards the out-feet end. The rate of slow out-feed ensures a continuous flow to the rest of the processing line. A typical feed hopper features:

Heavy-duty construction with a roller chain bed and a heavy-duty conveyor fixed to the bed;

Out-feed moderator for even-out and out-feed speed;

A speed drive to control the conveyor speed;

Easy access for service and maintenance;

These heavy-duty machines are designed for a vast range of applications. With a wide choice of wet and dry models, each operator can choose a feed hopper according to its needs. The main parts of a typical feed hopper are: a heavy-duty conveyor chain, and a bed covered with a heavy-duty rubber belt. The slope of the hopper can be adjusted, and it needs to be adapted to the line before every operation. Also, the height at the discharge end must be set to the correct height for unloading materials or products on trucks or bin tippers.

The newer feed hopper models come with electrical controls which automatically adjust the speed of the conveyor and the height at the discharge end. Thus, the “dead time” between changeovers is minimized and the efficiency of the operation is increased. The newer feed hoppers also come with easily removable and replaceable health and safety guards. They ensure reduced maintenance time and increased plant running time.

In the key areas, the feed hoppers have rubber lining for maximum wearing out resistance, increased durability and reduced repair and maintenance costs. The integrated belt mechanism provides an extremely efficient transfer of materials to the discharge end, increasing in this way the productivity. Some feed hopper models are equipped with modular sections for increased capacity. These hoppers ensure greater flexibility and operation efficiency.

A magnetic separator is a device which is used for separation and purification processes. The magnetic separator is commonly used in industries like scientific labs and mining. A large number of companies design and produce magnetic separators which are used for different applications. The businesses can choose from a wide range of magnetic separator models depending on their need and application. Usually these devices are produced by companies which are specialized for production of industrial processing machines and equipment. Some magnetic separator models can be designed according to the special needs of the buyer.

The main part of every magnetic separator is the magnet. As the materials move inside the magnetic separator, all unwanted impurities are attracted by the magnet and pulled out. Generally, there are two types of magnetic separators: paramagnetic and ferromagnetic separators. Depending on the needs and application, either ferromagnetic or paramagnetic separator can be used, but in some cases both magnetic separators are used in the separation and purification process. Furthermore, these separators can differ in their size, from small-sized separation devices used in small scientific labs, to larger magnetic devices which are heavily used in the processing and recycling industry.

The most common application for the magnetic separator is the removal of tramp metal. The tramp metal is unneeded iron which can harm the process stream. A magnetic separator is also used for separating materials which can damage the equipment that is used in the pre-processing step. Additionally, the magnetic separators are commonly utilized for sorting different metal types. In this case, several magnetic separators with different intensity are being used to sort strong and week materials at different times.

Some magnetic separator models include overhead magnets and magnetic plates. The magnetic plates allow the materials to flow freely over the plate while removing magnetic components. A magnetic separator can take the form of a drum, grate, or stacked drawer in which the material moves through. For laboratory applications, the magnetic separator can be specifically designed to suit the laboratory conditions.

Like any other device that is used for processing materials, the magnetic separator needs to be properly operated and maintained in order efficient results to be achieved. Proper maintenance includes cleaning the separator from the magnetic materials that are inside. Furthermore, the parts of the magnetic separator need to be regularly greased in order to be functional. For increased safety, all magnetic separators are designed with emergency shutoff panel.
